All meetings will be held in room 23 at 8:30 am.  Students may come in at the gate closest to room 23.

Steps to Run for Student Council

1. Complete and turn in the application form.  The form must be signed by any teachers you work with, so if you go to more than one teacher you must have their signatures too. DUE: By Friday, October 23

2.  Submit a bio online: Palmquist Student Council Form and email a picture to DUE: Tuesday, October 27.

3.Once the application is turned in and approved, you may hang posters beginning October 26th.  Posters must be signed off by Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Gilmore.  If posters do not follow the guidelines noted in the election letter, you will not be allowed to hang them. Posters must be removed by the candidates on October 30th unless moving on to the General Elections.

4. Classes will vote for each office on Thursday, October 29.  The top two candidates will advance to the General Election and will need to prepare a speech. Students will be notified Thursday afternoon.

5. On November 3rd, students who have advanced to the General Election will give speeches in front of 4th and 5th grades.  Voting will follow and students will be notified by the end of the day.

**Due dates are strict. If you do not follow the timeline, you will not be able to run.
